     Earl Edmund Plantagenet was born on 16 January 1244/45 in London, Middlesex, England.3 He was the son of King Henry III (of England) and Queen Eleanor (of Provence).2 Earl Edmund Plantagenet married Blanche (of Artois).2 Earl Edmund Plantagenet died on 5 June 1296 in , Pyrenees Atlantiques, France, at age 51.3 He was buried at Westminster Abbey, Westminster, Middlesex, England.3
     Earl Edmund Plantagenet was also known as Prince Edmund 'Crouchback' (of England).3 He was titled 1st Earl of Lancaster.2
