     Governor John Winthrop was born on 12 January 1587/88 in Edwardstone, Suffolk, England.2 He was the son of Adam Winthrop and Anne Browne.2 Governor John Winthrop married first Mary Forth, daughter of John Forth of Great stambridge Co. Essex, on 16 April 1605 in Great Stambridge, Essex, England.2 Governor John Winthrop married second Thomasine Clopton, daughter of William Clopton of Castleins, near Groton, on 6 December 1615 in Groton, England.2 Governor John Winthrop married third Margaret Tyndale, daughter of Sir John Tyndale of Great Maplested, Essex, on 29 April 1618 in Great Maplestead, Essex, England.2 Governor John Winthrop married forth Martha Rainsborough, daughter of William Rainsborough, after 20 December 1647.2 Governor John Winthrop died on 26 March 1649 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts Bay Colony, at age 61 survived by Martha Rainsborough.2
     Governor John Winthrop is described in The Great Migration Begins.2 Governor John Winthrop became a widower with the death of his wife, Thomasine Clopton on 8 December 1616.2 Governor John Winthrop immigrated in 1630 to in Boston, (now Suffolk County), Massachusetts Bay Colony.2 He was titled Governor of Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1630.2 He became a widower with the death of his wife, Margaret Tyndale on 14 June 1647 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts Bay Colony.1 Governor John Winthrop and Elizabeth Feake were Great Niece related.1 Governor John Winthrop is not a descendant of Royalty sufficient proof of alleged royl ancestry is lacking, royal ancestry is through his 2nd wife Thomasine Clopton and his 3rd wife Margaret Tyndale.1
